Cancer Screening & Psychosocial Support
At Rising India Research Foundation, cancer screening is approached as more than a medical procedure—it is a psychological and emotional experience. Our screening initiatives are designed to support individuals not only in early detection but also in managing the fear, anxiety, and uncertainty that often accompany cancer screening.
Under our broad spectrum of cancer screening programs, we work with community groups, healthcare partners, and civil society organizations to ensure that screening is accessible, sensitive, and empowering.
As part of this approach, in collaboration with the YouWeCan Foundation, we conducted breast cancer screening camps for Anganwadi workers, integrating advanced screening with structured psychosocial awareness sessions. These camps focused on:
- Emotional preparedness for screening and possible diagnosis
- Reducing stigma and fear associated with breast cancer
- Strengthening awareness of the mind–body connection in cancer prevention
- Encouraging early detection and help-seeking behavior
By combining physical screening with psycho-oncology interventions, these initiatives empower frontline workers to take charge of their own health while becoming informed advocates within their communities.
Through such integrated screening programs, Rising India Research Foundation continues to promote holistic, community-centered cancer care that addresses both physical health and mental well-being.
