On-ground data. Real-time tracking.
From surveys and interviews to district-level ultrasound monitoring, our projects blend rigorous research with practical implementation.
Research Projects
Rising India, in collaboration with the Maharashtra State Women Commission, has
conducted
research on the physical and mental health of working women, interviewing 602
women across
different age groups and professions.
The organization has also worked on strengthening the implementation of the
PCPNDT Act in
Maharashtra and Rajasthan. With over 1.6 million girls aborted annually in India
due to
gender preference (UNFPA), Rising India developed Active
Tracker, a device
that securely records ultrasound activity for monitoring by district
authorities.
This system has been successfully implemented in more than 100 districts across
states
including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh,
Chhattisgarh,
Punjab, and Telangana.

Saving girls with data, law & technology.
A flagship initiative using policy advocacy and tech-based monitoring to fight female feticide across India.
Save The Baby Girl
"Save the Baby Girl" is a flagship initiative by Rising India aimed at combating
female feticide. The project has received high praise from respected leaders,
including former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, highlighting its significance in
addressing gender-based discrimination.
Dr. Kalam’s words of appreciation:
"Save The Baby Girl is a guiding initiative for the nation. I am impressed
with this innovation—it is an excellent example of how technology can
address
social issues like female feticide. Your work is excellent."

Celebrating families with only daughters.
Shifting India’s mindset from “pressure for a son” to pride in raising strong, educated girls.
Only Daughter's Club
Indian society has long shown a preference for male children, leading to gender-based abortions and pressure on parents—especially those with a firstborn daughter—to conceive a boy. To address this issue, Rising India Research Foundation introduced the "Only Daughter's Club." This initiative promotes valuing daughters by creating a community of families who proudly choose to have only girls and aims to collaborate with communities, government bodies, banks, and educational institutions to support such families. The proposal encourages society and the government to reward parents of only daughters through benefits like priority promotions for government employees and reserved seats in educational institutions for girls from these families.

Rikshawthon 2017
The RikshawThon is a unique awareness event by Rising India supporting the
Government of
India’s Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign. A specially designed
rickshaw
travels across districts, public spaces, schools, and colleges to promote the
importance of
saving and educating girls.
By visually engaging communities and reaching educational institutions, the
RikshawThon
raises awareness about the declining child sex ratio and encourages equal
opportunities for
girls, inspiring people to support girls’ rights, education, and empowerment.
Through this initiative, Rising India contributes to creating a society that
values and
invests in the well-being and future of girls.
When a play becomes a mirror for society.
Using powerful storytelling to talk about violence, values and emotional health in children.
Kasab Ani Me
"Kasab aani Me," written by Adhish Paygude and directed by Deepak Karanjikar, is
a powerful
play that highlights rising violence among children and stresses the importance
of positive
values, emotional intelligence, and mental health.
Performed across multiple locations, the play has become an important platform
for mental
health awareness, encouraging conversations about the challenges faced by
today’s youth.
By showing the link between values, emotional well-being, and social harmony, it
inspires
reflection and positive change.
Rising India proudly supports this impactful initiative for its role in shaping
attitudes
and promoting a healthier, more compassionate environment for children.
