Only Daughter's Club
Indian society has long shown a preference for male children, leading to
gender-based abortions and pressure on parents—especially those with a firstborn
daughter—to conceive a boy.
To address this issue, Rising India Research Foundation introduced the "Only
Daughter's Club." This initiative promotes valuing daughters by creating a
community of families who proudly choose to have only girl child and aims to
collaborate with communities, government bodies, banks, and educational
institutions to support such families.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging the society and the government to reward
parents of only daughters through benefits like priority promotions for
government employees and reserved seats in educational institutions for girls
from these families.
